In the early 1990’s we dove headfirst into the world of 3D laser scanning.  The challenge to enter the industry came to Rolf Diefenbacher and his team through a colleague who was searching for aid with prosthetics manufacturing. And so began their first project; scanning limbs for prosthetic endeavours.

Many projects followed:

• Development of digitalized photo technology for coin measurement
  
• Development and production of various scanning solutions for providers within the Hearing Aid and Dental Industries around the world
  
• Successful marketing of their in-house design of 3D scanners to the Hearing Solutions and Dental Industry
  

By partnering with the precision manufacturer Diener AG, the company Diener Scan Tec AG was founded.  The synergies shaped a company that specializes in 3D scanning technology for the Hearing Solutions and Dental Industry.
